Presentment

Direct customers to a hosted checkout you control

Create the payment server-side, then send the customer to the hosted checkout for presentment while your server keeps state.

Recommended path

Create a server-side payment intent and then direct the customer to the PAP hosted checkout. The hosted checkout presents the payment while your server retains payment-state authority.

Fulfil from server state

A customer-visible redirect or hosted checkout page is not proof of payment. Fulfil only after an authenticated status read or a verified webhook confirms the outcome.

Prohibited

Do not put a live credential in the checkout redirect URL, in a link shared with the customer, or in hosted-checkout branding scripts. Do not treat hosted checkout presentment as an authorisation to release goods or value.
